"WINE FOUNTAIN" PAVILION

Martina Grižančič / 2018
LOCATION: Marezige 24, 6273 Marezige

The task was to build a winery in the existing public park in Marezige. The idea was to design an enclosed pavilion and a pavilion canopy, linked by a walkway and a square. The design concept is founded on two key materials that characterize the local environment: the Istrian stone and the refosco wine. The basic figurative element of the design is represented by a burgundy “stripe” that is “poured” on the stone, metaphorically giving it eternal protection.
