Kindergarten Ajda 2

Arhitektura Jure Kotnik / 2011

Kindergarten Ajda is an extension of the existing kindergarten. It consists of 16 modular container units arranged into clusters and joined by a single roof. The result is a spacious kindergarten constructed within a budget lower than that of an average Slovene kindergarten. With a surface of 77 sqm. the playrooms are the largest in the country and allow various furniture arrangements and specialized nooks for children.  Two covered open-air terraces in teak wood allow the children to play outside all year round. The signature design feature of kindergarten is its didactic façade with lightweight foldable magnets that children can manipulate with ease.
