Office building - Hostel Pekarna
Arhimedia / 2011
The Pekarna cultural centre comprises five buildings, built in the late 19th and early 20th century to house the Austro-Hungarian army’s bakery. The management building was the first to undergo restoration. The two existing floors were renewed to host management offices and teaching facilities, while the two new floors are dedicated to a youth hostel and a residential centre. The old and the new section are distinguished by different facade coatings and colours. The old section preserved its articulated facade, while the new section was placed on the old section’s cornice.
