The Renovation and Extention of Globus
Ambient, Api arhitekti d.o.o. / 2011
LOCATION: Gregorčičeva ulica 1, 4000 Kranj
The original Globus building was built in 1971 by architect Edvard Ravnikar. It was designed as a modern trading centre with a car park on 3rd floor. After it was decided to remove parking spaces, it was possible to add an annex alongside the eastern façade in place of the old car access ramps.
Once renovated, the building consists of two parts, the new glazed extension and the existing building with the rainscreen steel façade.
