The Institute of Paleontology is connected to the ZRC SAZU Atrium. One of its goals is to popularize science and research. Its architectural features include a greenhouse and an exterior staircase under which air conditioning units are located. The submerged basement space features a collection of fossils and the replica of a dinosaur skeleton. The greenhouse contains laboratory spaces with exhibited fossils of vertebrates in an authentic environment of Mesozoic plants or living fossils.
