Sports center Squashland
The sports facility on six different levels offers six professional squash courts, an area for functional exercise and a social space with a fireplace and a restaurant on the ground floor. In addition to wardrobes and technical rooms, the basement hosts a massage room and a sauna. A special feature of the sustainably designed building is a fully visible cross laminated timber (CLT) structure, which represents an open space across all above ground levels, and a visible reinforced concrete structure with integrated floor heating. Heating and cooling is provided by a water to water heat pump with its own borehole, and the roof features a solar power plant, as well as a vegetable garden. On sunny days, the surplus energy can be used by clients to charge their electric vehicles at four charging points.
