Judgement Tower
ATELIERarhitekti / 2021
LOCATION: Pristan, Maribor
The Judgement Tower in Maribor has been converted into a multi-purpose event venue.
The mighty vaulted brick space of the ground floor is designed as an amphitheatre with raised grandstands. With the re-establishment of the door at the level of the landing of the new stairs, the tower is functionally connected to the event complex of the Minorite monastery. The existing upper floor, which is characterized by an impressive reinforced concrete domed roof structure, was upgraded by installing an additional floor – a bridge, which allows for a versatile use of space.
