Very little historical data were known about the villa on Ceglo, which people always called Gredič (castle). In 2012 a comprehensive renovation of the castle was completed. It recovered the original splendor and created added space as well as program value. The idea was to design a small hotel, restaurant and wine cellar and to create a space that was modern, but still castle-like. A space that would not be heavy and dark, but mysterious and poetic. Local stone and wood were used to achieve a balance between the exterior and the interior. The light – or its absence – created soft areas and made room for new stories and adventures in the embrace of the old castle. Rooms are simply furnished, with a touch of splendor in contemporary design.
