Renovation of the house and its garden in Ljubljana

Atelje Ostan Pavlin / 2016

With a comprehensive approach, architects renovated the living quarters and the garden of an existing house. In the interiors, the building was cleaned of unnecessary walls and the living quarters were unified into a single space. It was expanded with a greenhouse and a wooden terrace, and both covered with a lightweight roof. The new composition of wooden windows and doors allows the flow of contact between the outside and inside. With plenty of light, a combination of plaster, wood, metal and glass, bright and warm living spaces have been created that form a restrained but precise framework for a variety of artwork collected on distant journeys.
