RCERO Ljubljana, a regional waste treatment plant, is the biggest environmental cohesion project in the country. It began to operate in late 2015 and treats a third of the waste produced in Slovenia. It consists of a landfill, a leachate treatment plant and a waste treatment plant. It uses advanced sustainable technology and provides green employment. Its key feature are three plants for mechanical and biological waste treatment.
