/ 2011
The gas utility of Ljubljana manages the first public filling station for methane-driven vehicles. It was built in late 2011 in cooperation with Ljubljana public transport company, which is gradually introducing methane buses in its fleet. The new technology is part of a common vision of Ljubljana municipality and public companies, committed to environment protection by introducing vehicles driven by one of the most sustainable energy sources. The self service, easy-to-use filling station is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has easy access for cars, trucks, and buses.
