Lighting factory XAL

Moderna d.o.o. / 2017
LOCATION: Nemčavci 75, Murska Sobota

This lighting production plant is located in an industrial park in Murska Sobota. It is designed as a silver orthogonal volume with a rational pattern of facade panels and windows. The main feature of the new building is a powder coating plant. Inside the final assembly hall, a glazed office cube was built. The building is made of prefabricated reinforced concrete combined with glued laminated timber and steel truss beams. Heating and cooling is provided by a heat pump, with a large part of energy coming from the powder coating residual heat. The plant’s environmental impact is minimal, as powder coating is a closed circuit process. The entire workplace is bright, airy and comfortable.
