Attic in Ljubljana city centre
Kubusarhitektura / 2014
The attic in the centre of Ljubljana was unused before the renovation which resulted in four new apartments. The roof construction with wooden trusses was preserved and used as a base for the placement of dividing walls between the apartments and the inside walls. The apartments are distributed on two levels. The upper floor hosts the central living space which descends over two steps to the lower level. Wherever possible, the height difference was used as furniture, for instance, as a bench around the dining table.
