Museum of the oldest vine
ATELIERarhitekti / 2022
LOCATION: Vojašniška ulica 14, 2000 Maribor
In the past, the building served as ice storage. Now it houses The oldest vine museum. The exhibition presents life on the Lent from the Middle Ages to the modern times. It relates to the rich tradition of viticulture in the lower Štajerska region. The cellar serves as a wine degustation room as well as a showroom for the ampelographic depictions from the 19th century, done by the Kreuzer brothers. By the entrance there is an intimate courtyard. Above it rises a pergola with the sapling of the oldest vine.
