Compact Karst house Pertot
Dekleva Gregorič arhitekti / 2014
When Karst was made barren after its oak trees were cut down and Venice was built on them, the rocky landscape influenced the tradition of small compact stone houses. This tradition is still alive today, and was followed in our case. The small stone house explores the relationship between the modern and the traditional, investigates the features of traditional anonymous architecture and sets the relationship between the modern interpretative design and the traditional creativity.
