Library Vrhnika in the former leather factory

The Cankar library in Vrhnika is part of the new cultural center which occupies the first floor of an old leather factory. Its 1,400 square meters are dedicated to adults and children section, as well as lecture rooms. The innovative interior design uses recycled factory elements. The new “community living room” is a tribute to the historic and symbolic value of the factory, which the citizens used to take pride in, and to the town’s historic personalities.
