Ipavec cultural centre in Šentjur
Studio LIST d.o.o. / 2014
LOCATION: Ulica Dušana Kvedra 46, Šentjur
Ipavec cultural centre in Šentjur was built in 1914 and had not undergone a major renovation since the 1940s. Its central location is of a great importance for the town’s image. The building was in a state of disrepair, its acoustic equipment and other installations were inadequate and it was energetically inefficient. The service rooms for the performing artists were unsuitable for mass performances, such as choir concerts or large theatre companies. The renovation took advantage of the existing features of the building. Minor construction work was carried out, the installations were refurbished and energetic efficiency was improved. The modern cultural centre now features four multi-purpose halls.
