Playground Gubčeva

Pazi!park / 2013

The initiative started in 2011, when a group of parents, together with the educational and management staff of the kindergarten Najdihojca, the Čenča unit, decided to take up the arrangement of the playground. During the planning phase, the children, together with experts, studied the existing playgrounds around Ljubljana and formulated a plan for a new playground, including motifs such as a “sunbathing terrace” for girls, a “fantasy fireplace” for boys and others. The work was carried out in the form of afternoon workshops, jointly directed by parents and kindergarten workers. The value of the project lies not only in a quality opportunity for playing and connecting the local community, but also in individual contributions, in the strengthening of social roles and the sense of space and community, in responsibility towards the environment and ourselves in it.
