house KD

Katarina Hostar / 2015

A wooden skeleton, single-family house in passive standard stands on the edge of Moste near Komenda. A classical spatial arrangement distributes accommodation programme on the ground floor and sleeping programme on the upper floor, exempting the service facilities from the compact heating volume. Large glass surfaces open the house southwards, while smaller windows frame the gaze towards the Kamniške Alps. Facade cladding shields the house from the north, and continues to pitched roof surface. Roof overhang and balcony along the southern facade cover the wooden part of the house.
