House JAN

Arhimetrics arhitekti / 2020

The project is a renovation of a house from the 1990s. The key challenge of the project was how to intelligently connect and open up the existing spaces by demolishing partitions. The result of the lengthy process of careful consideration, thoughtful moves and important details is a different, fluid floor plan instead of a classic extension. The longer part of the facade is oriented directly towards the garden. Two existing windows are combined into a panoramic window, which opens up a wonderful view of the nearby forest. The living room acquires a completely new character. The interior is calm and harmonious. With the combination of nuances of only one shade, there are no strong color contrasts. As a result, there are many possible ways to play with textures and materials.

House is located in Ljubljana.
