Computer History Museum C111

BAAM arhitekti / 2019
LOCATION: Celovška cesta 111, Ljubljana

In a commercial building in Šiška, designed in the 1960s by the Slovenian architect Miloš Bonča, a new Computer Museum was established. The pavilion-type modernist building has lost its character over time with a series of inadequate interventions. Therefore, the authors »cleaned« the building of all previous renovations and re-established the transparency of the façade, which allows a visible connection between the street and the square and park behind it. The relationship between old and new is indicated by interventions in blue. The design hints at the futuristic character of the museum.
