Camera Obscura Pavillion
Katja Paternoster, Matevž Paternoster / 2016
LOCATION: ZOO Ljubljana - začasna lokacija
The Camera Obscura pavilion was temporarily installed under a group of tall trees in the Ljubljana ZOO. Its design was inspired by the shape of a photo aperture. Its ground plan is octagon-shaped and the walls are clad in cor-ten steel. The interior is wooden and painted black. With the passage of light through the opening in the roof, a reversed and inverted (left to right and upside down) image of the sky and the tree crowns is projected on the round white surface on the ground.
