A House for Mountaineers
Biro Gašperič / 2014
A sporty couple was looking for a functional home for their growing family.
An intimate courtyard formed by the house and its service objects is bathed in the sun all day long and offers unobstructed dramatic vistas to the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. Due to the rocky terrain, the house is lifted from the ground in order to minimize the building cost. The compact floor plan features multipurpose spaces, which enables a complete program on less than 160 m2 (approximately 1,720 square feet).
